After more than 25 years of experience in the film industry and 12 years of being an independent producer and distributor at Sheherazad Media International, Katayoon Shahabi intends to expand her work spectrum and focus on international cinema. In this regard, she has decided to open "Noori Picture "in Paris which complements Sheherazad Media Int'l. Together the two companies will continue to present more new and talented filmmakers to the world and produce different genres of films at international level.

Activity of Noori Pictures would be production, distribution, sales agent of short, documentary, feature.

Winner of the best film in First Film competition section

“Moving Up” by Loghman Khaledi has won the Best Film in First Film Competition of  22nd FIDMarseille Film Festival.

“ Moving up” was in the official selection of both International competition and First Film competition. Among three thousand films that were submitted to the festival, the festival committed selected only thirty films which “Moving up” was in the list of official selection for competition. According to Mr. Khaledi, director of the film, who was present at the festival, the film was well received by the viewers at the two screenings of the film on July 7th and July 9th.

This film was a result of a workshop in which Katayoon Shahabi worked with talented young directors on their first feature length documentaries. Mr. Mehrdad Oskouie and Mr. Pirooz Kalantari were the project consultants in this workshop.
