Two young rural men who work at the animal’s market in Tehran have only 24 hours to take a large cow from downtown to the northern part of the city. Their job and future are at stake. The spectators follow their obligatory journey with the rope which is tied around the cow. Karkhani very cinematically describes the contrast which exists between the south and the north of a metropolis.

BIOGRAPHY

When the war broke out Mehrshad Karkhani left school in order to do his military service. Azizollah Hamidnejad (the filmmaker) encouraged him to do documentary and social photography.
