In this series, the documentary filmmakers sought to discover what remains of the Silk Road, to do so directly and without intermediates, as in the tradition of Iranian carpets. The result of their work is no less than a complete and mosaic image of contemporary Iran.


BIOGRAPHY

Born in Kermanshah in 1951, Ata Hayati is graduated in cinematography from the college of Television and Cinema, holds MA from Art University. He collaborated with IRIB (television) for many years. Hayati was director of photography for many successful Iranian films, and has directed two features. His second feature was awarded the Grand Jury Prize at the Mar del Plata Film Festival.
